Reverend Roscoe Fitzgerald Perry is a native of Chattanooga, TN. At an early age his family moved to Savannah, GA and he was educated in Chatham County public schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Business Administration from Savannah State University; graduating in 1985. Pastor Perry holds a Master of Divinity degree from ITC (Interdenominational Theological Center) at Morehouse School of Religion. He currently serves as the Director of Christian Education for the State of Georgia General Missionary Baptist Convention and serves as President of Mount Up Ministries, Inc. in Appling, GA. He is an instructor at American Baptist College in Augusta, GA; satellite site for American Baptist Theological of Nashville, TN.
Faithfully serving as Pastor of First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Appling, GA since 1988; Pastor Perry has led First Mt. Carmel Baptist Church to minister beyond the church walls. Pastor Perry is an ICON throughout the state of Georgia. His preaching and teaching has made a tremendous impact throughout this country. He is known as a Mission Minded Minister with a strong determination to help others. Rev. Perry is a man of valor; great character and integrity.
Rev. Perry has been married for over twenty years to Ann Shivers. Rev. and Mrs. Perry are the proud parents of one beautiful daughter, Christina. Christina is an honor student at The Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, GA.
